NYC became Ripple’s second home on the East Coast when we established operations there in 2012. And for a while our CEO, Mike Landman, even called Gotham City his home. These days he’s back in Atlanta, but still makes monthly trips to keep in touch with the city, our NYC clients, and the Ripplers who put Humans First in the Five Boroughs.

We have some favorite hangouts and restaurants in New York. Here’s some of the spots that make our non-NYC Ripplers jealous.

Cafe Grumpy

With no Octane in New York, Ripplers get their coffee kicks at Café Grumpy. There’s a number of locations around town but the closest to our NYC office is on the Lower East Side, which boasts the Grumpy bakery right next door. Mmmmm.

Ace Hotel

The Ace Hotel is a 12-story hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. There’s a Stumptown Café in the mezzanine with some kick-ass WiFi to boot. It’s where Mike often interviews potential Ripplers. That way, even the ones who aren’t a good fit get a decent cup of coffee in the process.

Barrio Chino

Just as in Atlanta, Ripplers living in New York love them some Mexican food. The “best” says our CEO is Barrio Chino. That’s debatable, but one thing’s for sure: Barrio Chino makes killer tacos and amazing margaritas. Nos encanta.

When Ripplers can’t pop out to get a bite, we use Seamless to order food from any number of New York restaurants. It’s a convenient way to get the tastes of the city delivered to your door, and it sure beats waiting for a table.
